Aims

  • To introduce the role of the nurse in meeting the needs of patients and clients across the lifespan in a range of healthcare settings.
  • To introduce the concept of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based care interventions for unwell patients across the life-span. 
  • To promote partnership working with patients and carers.

Learning Outcomes

  • (LO1) Identify the bio-psychosocial healthcare needs of people across the life-span with acute, long term and end of life conditions, including people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities;
